One week inside a fictitious armed conflict. Around fifty teams from five continents plead, negotiate and advise — as the lawyers, diplomats and delegates of international humanitarian law.
What is the Competition?
No written memorials, no frozen courtroom: the Jean-Pictet Competition is entirely oral. Teams play the actors of armed conflicts — legal advisers, ICRC delegates, military officers, diplomats — in simulations built around a fictitious scenario. It teaches you to put the law into action.
